Larry D. Snell – A Voice of Truth, A Storyteller with Experience

Larry Dwayne Snell … was born in San Bernardino, California, on July 22, then moved to Highland Park in 1973. He later attended Mackenzie High School in the 1980s before transferring to Cody High School. Due to unforeseen circumstances, he left school but became very familiar with the streets of Highland Park and Detroit. Some of the wildest of his experiences while learning these mean streets, guided him on a course to start living his life.Eventually, he went back to school and graduated from Wayne County Community College with a Liberal Arts degree in humanities, then received a scholarship and achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. from Wayne State University. He later worked as an assignment editor and wrote for Channel 7 News (WXYZ) in Detroit, Michigan while still earning his Bachelor’s Degree. He later accepted the Assignment Desk/Writing/Video Editing job at Channel 12 News (WJRT) in Flint, Michigan. Three years later Channel 4 News (WDIV) in Detroit called him back to serve as Assignment Desk Editor/Write where he worked for three years.

He then Pursued an secondary education degree while accepting a teaching position, writing coach, as well as, assistant MEAP Coordinator with George Washington Carver Academy for four years. He later took accelerated masters courses focusing on Early Childhood education and a business degree, but became too overwhelmed while working full time. He later served as project Manager for Detroit Parent Network for two years then transitioned into an automotive supplier role as a Purchaser and Case Processing Manager. But he finds the ultimate satisfaction in sharing the life that was meant for him.
